Notably, the last time these two sides faced each other in Ahmedabad, Gujarat emerged victorious by 36 runs, thanks to Sai Sudharsan and Prasidh Krishna's efforts.

His aggressive starts at the top and consistent contributions make him a reliable fantasy pick, especially considering his dual role as a wicketkeeper-batter for Mumbai Indians 

Top captains & vice captains – GT opener Sai Sudharsan already has managed 504 runs in 10 innings this season. Being second on the top run-scorers list up until now, it may be expected for him to score big yet again. The southpaw has been in the form of his life, scoring runs at will. With the former champions requiring a win in this game, Sudharsan's bat needs to do the talking once again. Suryakumar Yadav has been the standout batter of IPL 2025 so far, leading the Orange Cap race with 475 runs from 11 matches at a remarkable strike rate of 172.73 and an average of 67.86, consistently scoring at least 25 runs in every game this season. His extraordinary form, versatility, and ability to dominate bowlers in all conditions make him an excellent vice captaincy pick for your fantasy team.

Smart pick – Jasprit Bumrah has taken 11 wickets in seven matches this season and might be expected to fire once again. Coming off a match-winning spell against the Rajasthan Royals, Bumrah will be running high on confidence. MI skipper Hardik Pandya will bank on his star bowler to tackle Gujarat's solid batting line-up and provide crucial breakthroughs.

Cautious Pick – Rahul Tewatia has had a disappointing IPL 2025 season so far, scoring only 43 runs in 10 matches at a low average of 6.14, with no significant contributions either with the bat or ball. Given his lack of impact and form, it would be wise to avoid picking him in your fantasy team.
